Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Get a Gritty Makeover in New Teaser

The pizza-gobbling, hard-partyingTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are getting a gritty makeover in the upcoming adaptation from director Jonathan Liebesman and producer Michael Bay. The first teaser trailer for the series reboot finds New York City ravaged by crime and chaos after falling under the rule of the nefarious Shredder and his Foot Clan.

Over shots of some truly gruesome, intense shots of buildings collapsing and soldiers wreaking havoc on NYC residents on the streets, actor William Fichtner tells Megan Fox: Heroes are not born, theyre created. Thats what your father and I were trying to do create heroes. A pretty outrageous action sequence of the half-shelled heroes rocketing down a mountain side follows, along with the Turtles introducing themselves to Foxs character, April ONeil. Chill, its just a mask, dont freak out, Michelangelo tries to tell a stunned ONeil before she promptly passes out. Unfortunately, no pizza was eaten in the trailer.
