Jon Hamm Highlights Jon Stewarts Vocal Talents on Daily Show

As Jon Stewarts tenure as host of The Daily Show comes to a close, the send-offs are just beginning. Tuesdaynights guest, Jon Hamm, appeared to introduce a special tribute dedicated to one of Stewarts more underrated talents: his voice.

Heres what I like about you, Stewart said to Hamm. Youre the only other person on TV who spells Jon correctly.

Ive been watching you for 16 long, long years, Hamm began while standing behind Stewart. Its your voice, Jon. Your glorious voice. Its like Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand and Luciano Pavarotti had a threesome and then gave birth to the perfect set of vocal cords: yours.

Following Hamms introduction, the show highlighted someof Stewarts more memorable musical moments (and arm-heavy dance moves). From silly parodies of songs like TLCs Waterfalls and impromptu sing-song deliveries of his jokes, the tribute compiled all the times the host tried to teach the world to sing, as Hamm noted.

Stewart announced his decision to step down from The Daily Showin February and willtape his final episode on August 6th. His successor Trevor Noahs first episode will air on September 28th. Recently, the late-night vet opened up to The Guardian about his decision to leave his successful series. Its not like I thought [The Daily Show] wasnt working any more, or that I didnt know how to do it, he said. It was more Yup, its working. But Im not getting the same satisfaction.'
