See Carly Pearces Steamy New Closer to You Video

Carly Pearces latest single Closer to You deals with people trying to shrink the distance between one another, whether thats in terms of miles or just across the passenger seat. In the new video for Closer to You, Pearce sets out to find the one whos occupying her thoughts, which in this case appears to be her fianc, fellow country artist Michael Ray.

Ive got a fast car gassed up, sittin in the driveway, sings Pearce, who moves from looking out a living room window at that driveway to actually being behind the wheel in the video directed by Mason Dixon. As the song ramps up in intensity and Pearce sings about her desire to kill the space in between, she presses the accelerator and pushes the car near 100 miles per hour. And suddenly, shes not alone, enjoying the touch of someone who bears a distinct resemblance to Ray. Her relationship with Ray, with both of them frequently in totally different parts of the world, served as inspiration for Closer to You.

I am in a long distance relationship and I cant get enough of this person, she told Rolling Stone Countrylast year. That for me, lyrically, is what attracted me to this song. You hear the dobro that you hear in all of my music and hear the nuances that make my voice special. Everybody can relate in some capacity to wanting to be with that person who makes you happy.

Pearce is currently working on a new album with producer Busbee that will be the follow-up to 2017s Every Little Thing, featuring the hit title track and Hide the Wine. Currently co-headlining the Way Back Tour with Russell Dickerson, Pearce will join up with Jason Aldeans Ride All Night Tour in May.
