Stefani will be taking up the spot left by Christina Aguilera, who announced in February that she is pregnant with her second child.

The new season will begin shooting in June, and at least one other major change is in the works: Pharrell Williams signed on at the end of March to replace Cee Lo Green as a coach alongside Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Pharrell had served as a guest mentor on the show in 2013, and Stefani already has some experience working with him, since the two collaborated on Stefanis 2004 solo hit Hollaback Girl.

Pharrell even brought Stefani out during his set at Coachella last weekend to perform the song, after giving her an effusive introduction. I can tell you right now theres only one incredible, historical, most important, incredibly talented, fucking awesome, rad girl in the world, he told the crowd, according to Gigwise. Stefani gave birth to her third son in March, and Pharrell noted that the crowd would not have seen her in nine months, hailing her arrival back into the music industry.
