Hugh Jackman has donned the Adamantium steel claws to portray Wolverine in a pair of X-Men film series as well as his own standalone superhero franchise. However, the actor has hinted that, following his starring turn in Wolverine 3, hell depart the role for good after 17 years and at least eight films. After appearing in every X-Men film in the original trilogy plus two Logan-centric spinoffs 2009s X-Men Origins: Wolverine and 2013s The Wolverine Jackmans beloved superhero had a cameo in the X-Men reboot First Class before his role in that series was expanded for 2014s X-Men: Days of Future Past.
