Watch Banks Light Up Letterman With Beggin for Thread

Tomorrow night. Letterman. Its mine, Banks tweeted April 2nd, hinting that The Late Show would see an epic performance Friday night. The Los Angeles-based R&B singer delivered on her promise, bringing her eye-catching Octagon stage setup to the Ed Sullivan Theatres stage. On the Late Show, Banks performed Begging for Thread, the hit single off her debut LP Goddess, one of Rolling Stones 20 Best R&B Albums of 2014.

Lovely! Wonderful! Beautiful, Letterman exclaimed after the performance. After the late night host managed to free the singer from her house of mirrors, Letterman himself stepped into the reflective booth to close out the show. This thing is kaleidoscopic, Letterman marveled, closing the Octagons door with him and Banks inside.

The Letterman performance marks Banks third late night appearances since the arrival of Goddess: She made her late night debut in August 2014 with a stop on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which she followed up a month later by bringing her Shlohmo-produced Brain to Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Starting in April, JillianBanks will embark on a summers worth of music festival appearances, including slots at Torontos Bestival, Montreals Osheaga and an August 1st set at Chicagos Lollapalooza.
