Watch Depeche Mode Bring Wheres the Revolution Shout to Fallon

Depeche Mode performed their rousingnew song Wheres the Revolution on The Tonight Show Wednesday. Over Martin Gores smoldering guitar, Andrew Fletchers mechanized synths, singer Dave Gahan delivered the song with ominous flare. Youve been pissed on for too long/ Your rights abuse/ Your views refused, he sang.

Wheres the Revolution will appear on Depeche Modes upcoming album, Spirit, out March 17th. James Ford (Florence and the Machine, Arctic Monkeys) produced the record, which marks the bands first since 2013s Delta Machine.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Gahan spoke about the sense of worldwide worry and melancholy that permeates the record, but stopped short of calling it political. I wouldnt call this a political album, Gahan said, because I dont listen to music in a political way. But its definitely about humanity, and our place in that.

Depeche Mode will embark on a massive world tour in support of Spirit, kicking off a North American leg August 23rd in Salt Lake City, Utah and wrapping October 27th in Edmonton, Canada.

Depeche Mode has issued a statement against Alt-Right leader Richard Spencer after the lifelong fan joked theyre official band of the Alt-Right.
