Leaked Trailer from Selena Quintanilla TV Show Features Graphic Murder Scene

An upcoming TV series detailing the 1995 murder of Latin music icon Selena Quintanilla dramatizes her death in shockingly graphic fashion, as seen in a recently leaked trailer.

The trailer, which was released in part on YouTube late last month, shows the last few moments of Quintanillas life in disturbing detail, and starts with the sound of a gunshot. An injured Quintanilla is then depicted lurching out of her motel room, leaving a trail of blood behind her as she struggles to find help.

A memorable scene from the 1997 movie Selena, in which the beloved Tejano singer (played in that film by Jennifer Lopez) drops her ring while being driven away in an ambulance, has similarly been modified: the trailer shows the ring falling in slow-motion, covered in Quintanillas blood.

Another scene in the leaked trailer depicts Yolanda Saldvar, Quintanillas former agent, who was convicted of the singers murder, in a tense showdown with police while sitting in a car, a phone in one hand and a gun pressed to her temple in the other. (The real Quintanilla was just 23 years old at the time of her death in Corpus Christi, Texas.)

Before it has even aired, Telemundos dramatic TV series, El Secreto de Selena, or Selenas Secret, has welcomed a flood of criticism for what fans are calling the trash and lies journalist Maria Celeste Arrar wrote about in her tell-all of the same name.

Quintanillas sister, Suzette, has previously called Arrars book a whole bunch of lies in a post to Instagram.Arrar has asserted that Saldvar told her a secret about Quintanilla early on during the trial, but that she will not reveal that secret even to this day.

For me it became Yolandas secret, Arrar wrote in a chapter of her 1997 book. I know her version completely and with great details. But, she warned me it was off the record, dont forget that. Since I knew the story, I was able to piece the puzzle together and put it in these pages, without breaking my promise. I accepted and still respect her request to not reveal other details she confided to me. For that reason I shall not mention anything until she changes her mind and presents the evidence to prove her revelations.
