Captain America: Civil Warwont be the only time Marvel superheroes are pitted against each other this spring: Netflix has unveiled the first full trailer for the upcoming second season of Daredevil, with the protector of Hells Kitchen forced to confront vigilante antihero the Punisher. The Walking Deads Jon Bernthal portrays Frank Castle, the former mercenary who declares war on the criminal world after his family is killed.
Although both are crime fighters, Daredevils methods differ mightily from the arsenal-carrying Punisher. You hit them and they get back up. I hit them and they stay down, Punisher tells Daredevil after a rooftop battle. I think youre a half-measure. I think youre a man who cant finish the job. I think youre a coward.
The end of the preview focuses on Daredevils relationship with Elektra Natchios, a plot line that will likely be explored further when the next Daredevil Season Two trailer arrives February 25th. The entire second season itself premieres on Netflix on March 18th.
