Watch Documentary Now Parody Performance Artists, Music Producers in New Trailer

Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and more spoof bowlers, music producers, performance artists and more in the trailer for Season Three or Season 52, by their count of Documentary Now. The show returns to IFC February 20th.

The minute-long clip offers quick looks at the shows next slate of parodies and myriad guest stars. Among the most prominent is an episode titled, Waiting for the Artist, a play on the 2012 Marina Abramovic doc, The Artist Is Present, which will star Oscar-winner Cate Blanchettas Izabella Barta and Armisen as her estranged lover, Dimo (The best art is made while eating a cookie, Dimo sagely says).

The trailer also teases parodies of the 2006 bowling documentary, League of Ordinary Gentlemen, and a take on Lets Get Lost, Bruce Webers 1988 film about jazz trumpeter Chet Baker. Documentary Now is also set to take on D.A. Pennebakers 1970 film, Original Cast Album: Company, which chronicled the tumultuous cast recording of the Stephen Sondheim musical of the same name. That episode will boast Taran Killam, John Mulaney and James Urbaniak as a trio of producers overseeing the project.

Season Three of Documentary Now will also feature guest appearances from Michael Keaton, Owen Wilson, Rene Elise Goldsberry, Richard Kind, Natasha Lyonne, Michael C. Hall, and Connie Chung. Helen Mirren will also return as the shows host.
