A new teaser for the revival of Twin Peaks shows series regulars from the shows original early Nineties run as they look today. The celebrated cult show is set to return more than a quarter century after the original, unplanned series finale with a two-part premiere on Showtime on May 21st at 9 p.m. EST.

In less than a minute, the clip shows characters Big Ed Hurley (played by actor Everett McGill), Carl Rodd (Harry Dean Stanton), Sarah Palmer (Grace Zabriskie), Deputy Andy Brennan (Harry Goaz), Deputy Tommy Hawk Hill (Michael Horse) and FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) as they are in 2017.

The entire 18-part revival series has been directed by co-creator David Lynch. Its story picks up 25 years after the murder of high-school homecoming queen Laura Palmer the central mystery in the original series. Each episode was written by Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost.

After the season premiere ends, Showtime subscribers will be able to access the third and fourth episodes in the series via the channels Showtime Anytime service and Showtime On Demand.
