Season Two of True Detective centers around a murder that brings together three Los Angeles-area police officers McAdams Ventura County Sheriffs detectiveAni Bezzerides, Farrells detective Ray Velcoro and Kitschs Paul Woodrugh, a California Highway Patrol cop. Vince Vaughn will also star as career criminal Frank Semyon. Its Woodrugh who ostensibly uncovers the crime scene, prompting an investigation that, as it unravels, involvesvariouslaw-enforcement agencies, criminal collusions and billions of dollars.

True Detective creatorNic Pizzolatto penned all eight episodes of the shows second season, while Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 6) directed the first two. HBO has yet to reveal the directors of the remaining six episodes.
