Watch First Gripping 11 Minutes of Narcos Season Two

Netflixs Narcospremiered an exclusive look at the shows first episode of Season Two via a Facebook live broadcast on Thursday.

In a meta move, the clever clip appears as if its shot as live-to-tape as DEA agents find Pablo Escobars (played by Wagner Moura) hidden Season Two videotapes. The agents put the tape in a VCR, which then broadcasts the first 11 minutes of the first episode.

Like its first trailer, the scene opens with DEA agent Steve Murphy (portrayed by Boyd Holbrook) marveling at the Columbian cocaine kingpins escape from prison, despite a mountain of soldiers, helicopters and police dogs standing in the way. As the new video reveals, when Escobar is confronted by a soldier who tells him hes supposed to take him into custody, Escobar coolly says, Son, Im sorry to say, unfortunately I cant let that happen before he simply walks on through the blanket of soldiers without encountering any objection.

Yup. Life aint fair, man, Agent Murphy says in a voiceover. Pablo Escobar, he was headed home.

Meanwhile, Murphys personal drama continues to build at home where his wife Connie (played by Joanna Christie) understandably worries about their safety. This is before the couple even knows that Escobar is back on the loose.

Ironically, once Murphy hears the news of Escobars escape, he shows little concern. You know what? I was happy about it. The fox was out of the cage, the hunt was on, he says.

Escobar has a seemingly happy family reunion when he arrives back home, though hes quick to tell his crew to keep tabs on police activity. But before too much celebrating happens, the tape cuts back to its original live-to-tape premise and Escobar delivers a chilling message for those that try to cross him.

All 10 episodes of Narcos Season Two will be released via Netflix on September 2nd.
