Hear Tucker Beathards Crunchy New Song Better Than Me

Tucker Beathard was an independent artist when he released last years Nobodys Everything, a record of co-written originals rooted in alt-rocks crunch and country-pops gloss. Three months later, hes back with an anthemic single, Better Than Me, as well as a new, high-powered partner: Warner Music Nashville.

With Warners help, Beathard will make good on his original plan to release his debut album in two installments, following the nine-song Nobodys Everything with an equally sized second half sometime this spring. Theres no concrete release date at the moment, but Beathard plans to whip up additional attention for the double album with a club tour that kicks off Friday night in Charlotte, North Carolina. The headlining trek runs through April, with expected highlights including Rock On, his career-launching hit from 2016, as well as Better Than Me, whose larger-than-life sweep nods to rock-influenced contemporaries like Kip Moore.

Ive always felt like there was something special about this song, says Beathard, who finished the breakup anthem with help from Dan Isbell and Jonathan Singleton. I think it represents me really well as an artist, and the story behind it is somethingwe can all relate to. Im so glad its finally getting the chance Ive always felt like it deserves to be heard.
