Drake, Macklemore Set for Grammy Nominations Concert


Drake and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will kick off the Grammys season this December. The Canadian rapper and Seattle hip-hop duo are set to perform at the Grammy Awards nominations concert at Los Angeles Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. Robin Thicke and Keith Urban will also play the show, which is set for December 6th.

LL Cool J, who hosted the 2012 and 2013 Grammys, will host The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! Countdown to Musics Biggest Night, The Associated Press reports. The special will air on CBS.

Each of the scheduled performers looks to have a strong Grammys showing. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have had a monstrous year with their platinum 2012 album The Heist, while Drakes Nothing Was the Same debuted earlier this month at the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 658,000 sold. Urbans latest, Fuse, debuted at the top of Billboards chart last month, and Thickes Blurred Lines is one of the years biggest smash hits.

The 2014 Grammys will take place on January 26th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
