Just a year after Breaking Badand its antihero Walter White bid farewell to television, we now finally have our first real glimpse at the spinoff series Better Call Saul, which stars Bob Odenkirk reprising his role of scummy lawyer Saul Goodman. At the conclusion of AMCs Breaking Bad marathon on Sunday night, the network unveiledsome more teasers forthe highly anticipated show in the form of amusic video for theappropriately titled Better Call Saul, performed by country artist Junior Brown.

In the video, which is reminiscent of the musical openingfrom the Breaking Bad Season Two episode Negro y Azul, Browns lyrics suggest possible plot lines from the upcoming series, with crimesranging from drunk-driving to shoplifting to a creepy case of child abduction. Your husband disappeared in the most convenient way / Now your troubles are gone, the insurance will surely pay / You getto the bank but the cops say Whoa! / Who you gonna dial when they lock you down low?, Brown sings.Saul, Saul, you better call Saul / Hell fight for your rights, when your backs to the wall / Hell stick it to the man, justice for all.

We only see snippets of footage from the actual show, like Goodman practicinghis craft in the courtroom, or the lawyer standing in front of a billboard advertising the services of James McGill (which weve learned is Goodmans real name), but the lyrics offer enoughinsight into Better Call Saulto get fans excited about the shows possibilities.

Breaking Bad mastermind Vince Gilligan and writer Peter Gould created the spinoff series, with the pairserving as co-showrunners. They also penned the lyrics for this Better Call Saul song along with Breaking Bad composer Dave Porter.Bad writing staff vets Thomas Schnauz and Gennifer Hutchison are also on board for the spinoff, as is actor Jonathan Banks, who portrayed fan favorite hitman Mike Ehrmantraut. On Better Call Saul, we see Ehrmantraut when he was stilla private detective.

We like jumping around in time, Gilligan previously said about the show. I would definitely point you in the direction of anything that was possible storytelling-wise on Breaking Bad is possible on Better Call Saul. Gilligan also revealed that Better Call Saul is a period piece that takes place in 2002, giving it a decentgap between the pilot and Walter Whites odyssey.

Better Call Saul heads to AMC in February 2015. Despite not even airing yet, the show has already been renewed for a second season.
