Watch Twin Peaks Cast Tease Thrilling Reboot


UPDATE: Showtime will debut Twin Peaks on May 21st with a two-hour episode, according to Deadline. The network revealed that the new season will consist of 18 episodes.

Kyle MacLachlan and the cast of Twin Peakstalk about returning to the fictional Washington town in a new teaser for the upcoming series revival on Showtime due out in 2017.

The short clip has an eerie David Lynch-ian feel as shots of the epic Pacific Northwest landscape are mixed with clips of the cast discussing rumors about the shows imminent revival. Revisiting all this territory, theres a freshness to it, theres a lightness to it, said MacLachlan, who is reprising his role as Agent Dale Cooper. We knew it was going to be something special, we just didnt know in what form, or how.

Cast members teased the multi-faceted next chapter in the Twin Peakssaga. In my opinion, it discovers, in a poetic way, the whole human experience, said James Marshall (a.k.a. James Hurley), while Miguel Ferrer (FBI forensic specialist Albert Rosenfield) added Its a big cast, its a big story, big things happen.

Along with many returning actors, theTwin Peaksreboot will boast a slew of newcomers including Michael Cera, Monica Bellucci, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jim Belushi, Tim Roth, Robert Forster, Ashley Judd, Amanda Seyfried and Lynch vets Laura Dern, Balthazar Getty and Naomi Watts. Creators David Lynch and Mark Frost have also tapped several musicians including Trent Reznor, Eddie Vedder, Sky Ferreira and Sharon Van Etten.
