Louis C.K. Announces More Horace and Pete Episodes

Louis C.K.surprised fans last weekend when he sent an email out to announce his new series, Horace and Pete, which stars C.K. and Steve Buscemi, and offered its first episode for $5 via his official site. On Thursday, the comedian sent another email to provide more details about the series, which included news that the second episode will be available on Saturday.

Part of the idea behind launching it on the site was to create a show in a new way and to provide it to you directly and immediately, without the usual promotion, banner ads, billboards and clips that tell you what the show feels and looks like before you get to see it yourself, he said in the email, explaining that prior promotion can ruin the experience both from a TV writer and watcher perspective. He also added that the show is being filmed in a multi-camera format to give it a live feeling and they can turn each episode around quickly.

As far as the $5 price tag for the first episode, C.K. said that hes bringing the price down. While the first episode will remain $5, the second episode will be $2, with future episodes priced at $3. So why the dirty fuckballs did I charge you five dollars for Horace and Pete, where most TV shows you buy online are 3 dollars or less? Well, the dirty unmovable fact is that this show is fucking expensive, he said.

C.K. said its a costly show due to it being a full TV production. Every second the cameras are rolling, money is shooting out of my asshole like your mothers worst diarrhea, he added. Basically this is a hand-made, one guy paid for version of a thing that is usually made by a giant corporation.

In addition to C.K. and Buscemi, Horace and Pete also features an all-star cast that includes Edie Falco, Alan Alda, Jessica Lange, Aidy Bryant, Steven Wright and Kurt Metzger. The theme song was written and performed by Paul Simon.
