The teaser trailer of the live-action film Beauty and the Beast offers a brief first glimpse of Emma WatsonasBelle.
The clip focuses on the Beasts castle, showing where theformer prince resides and where Belle meets the motley crew of anthropomorphized household items. After the door opens, two unseen characters discuss the arrival of Belle until she greets the empty home. Watson as Belle is partially seen behind a rose she reaches for.
Beauty and the Beast also stars Dan Stevens as the Beast, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Josh Gad as LeFou and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts. Alan Menken, who scored the 1991 animated film, returned to score the new film, which will include songs from the original feature as well as new songs composed by Menken and Tim Rice. The filmwill hit theaters on March 17th, 2017.
