Daniel Radcliffe Says No to New Harry Potter Film

J.K. Rowling will revisit the world of Harry Potter in her new spinoff film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but Daniel Radcliffe has no plans to reprise his role as the Boy Who Lived. The actor who played Potter says he wont be involved in the planned film series and casts doubt on whether fellow Harry Potter stars Rupert Grint and Emma Watson would return. I dont know if any of us [the original Potter cast] will be, Radcliffe said, according to The Guardian. I know nothing about it.

Nine Ideas for the Harry Potter Spinoff Fantastic Beasts

Rowling is planning a series of spinoffs around the wizarding textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which Potter and his fellow students used at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and its fictional author, Newt Scamander. Rowling is writing the screenplay herself, her first-ever script. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rowling has secured extensive creative control, particularly for a first-time screenwriter; her partner, Warner Bros., cannot hire someone else to rewrite the script without her approval.
