Following the announcement of the 2016 editions competition titles last week, the Sundance Film Festival unveiled their Premiere section lineup today, including new works from Spike Lee, Todd Solandz, Werner Herzog, and more.

The feature lineup includes Love & Friendship, in which indie-film stalwart Whit Stillman reteams with his Last Days of Disco stars Kate Beckinsale and Chlo Sevigny for a frothy Jane Austen adaptation; Sing Street, anEighties-set musical collaboration between director John Carney (Once) and fellow Irishmen Bono and The Edge about boy who starts a band; The Hollars, a dramedy featuringThe Offices John Krasinski (who also directs) and Anna Kendrick about a man who returns to his hometown; and Wiener-Dog, a Love, Actually-esque comedy about a group of people whose lives are changed by a very special dachshund, directed by Todd Solondz (Welcome to the Dollhouse).

On the documentary front, musicians once again take center stage. Eat That Question Frank Zappa in His Own Words is a personal portrait of the idiosyncratic rock icon, while Spike Lee takes another stab at chronicling the King of Pop with Michael Jacksons Journey from Motown to Off the Wall, a focused look at the album that cemented his celebrity. Theres also a Werner Herzog documentary about online culture, which the press notes cryptically synopizes via a single question: Does the internet dream of itself?

Finally, after flirting with television in previous years, Sundance is following in the footsteps of other major festivals by including a sidebar devoted to the small-screen. Programs making their debut include Hulus upcoming Stephen King miniseries 11.22.63 starring James Franco and four episodes of the Steven Soderbergh-produced Starz series, The Girlfriend Experience.
