Watch Seinfelds Elaine Confront Larry Davids Bernie Sanders on SNL

Saturday Night Liveheld a mini-Seinfeldreunion as host Julia Louis-Dreyfusreprised her beloved Elaine Benes character alongside series co-creator Larry David, who once againfilled the role of Bernie Sanders on SNL.

In the cold open sketch, revolving around this weeks Democratic debate in Brooklyn, Elaine asks Davids Sanders just how exactly he plans on breaking up the big banks, to which the Vermont senator replies, Ill go to the big banks, Ill sit them down, and yada yada yada, theyll be broken up.

You cant yada, yada at a debate, Benes fired back. While Louis-Dreyfus and David never shared screen time on Seinfeld though they did appear together on Curb Your Enthusiasm the vibe of that classic sitcom permeates throughout the cold open. At one point, Benes yells at Sanders, Youre bald!, a nod a memorable scenebetween the character and George Costanza, who was modeled after David.

(Benes also says to Hillary Clinton, Doesnt it suck to be the only girlin a group of guys? Dont worry, because everyone thinks that you are, by far, the funniest, perhaps a nod to Elaines Number One placement on Rolling Stones 100 Best Seinfeld Characters list.)

To keep the Must See TV nostalgia going, SNLs Vanessa Bayer also appeared as Friends Rachel Green, originally played by Jennifer Aniston, during the debate sketch.
