Julianne Moore, John Stamos Act in Taylor Swift Soap Opera on Corden

James Corden took Taylor Swifts delightfully melodramatic lyrics to their logical conclusion on The Late Late ShowMonday, using them as lines ina fake soap opera, The Bold and the Lyrical, co-starring Julianne Moore and John Stamos.

The sketch found Corden and Moore playing James Cordone and Juliette Moore, two young, reckless lovers who take things way too far. The scene opens when Corden, donning a ridiculous black pompadour wig, saunters home onenight with a weak explanation for his whereabouts: Ive been cruising. Cant stop, wont stop moving.

Aside from the pure thrill of watching Moore swirl a drink and over-act lines like, Baby, I miss you, and I swear Im gonna change, trust me remember how that lasted for a day?, Swifts lyrics made for solid dramatic beats. The pair spat withlines from Blank Space, You Belong With Me, and I Knew You Were Trouble, and Corden later tries to flex his bad boy status with Darling, Im a nightmare dressed like a daydream. Instead, Moore slaps him and yells, Shake it off!

I think thats Adele, Corden quickly corrects her though they both agree, great song.

Finally, Corden makes one last effort to win his Juliette, getting down on one knee with lines from Love Story. Unfortunately, Moore informs him they are never ever getting back together. Fortunately, John Stamos playing John Stamosa, another oneof Mooresformer flames arrives, offering condolences and a night of dressing up like hipsters, making fun of exs and feeling 22. Grab your passport and my hand, Stamos adds with a glimmer in his eye. I can make the bad guys good for a weekend.
