Watch Wilco Unleash Rocker Someone to Lose on Colbert

Wilco performed their new breezy bummer tune, Someone to Lose on The Late Show With Stephen ColbertWednesday.

TheSchmilcotrackopens with Jeff Tweedy singing delicately over a shuffling acoustic groove. By the chorus, the song turns to full-blown country rock with dueling riffs from Nels Cline and Pat Sansone.

Tweedy also appeared in two Late Showbits, including one where he rebuffed the critique that Wilco is lazy with their album titles (see: Schmilco, Star Warsand Wilco the Album) with a list of forthcoming LPs such as, Songs or WhateverandMeet the Beatles by Wilcoand the concept album, Empty Coke Can.

The Wilco singer also tried jamming with Colbert in his Late Night dressing room (or as the host put it, Crank it up and rip off the knob). Tweedy was apprehensive after Colbert pulled out not one, but two, didgeridoos from his suit pocket. Despite an impressive solo, Colbert was unable to hold up his part of the duo.
