Kathy Griffin Challenges Nicki Minaj to Butt Contest

Kathy Griffin has issued a challenge to rapper Nicki Minaj and it involves butts, not ice buckets. Of course, everyones talking about that Anaconda video, and its fantastic, the comedian toldThe Associated Pressin a new interview. Its a lot of boo-tay, and I would like to challenge Nicki to a boo-tay-off.

Given Minajs posterior pride, Griffin has her work cut out for her: The rappers GIF-friendly, twerk-heavy clip for Anaconda (which features a sample from Sir-Mix-a-Lots ass-shaking anthem Baby Got Back and a cameo fromDrake, who graciously receives a lap dance) is loaded with shots of Minaj and her dancers butts. Its also, to the surprise of no one, turning a lot of heads: the video has already received35 million views since its release on Tuesday, breaking Vevos recordfor most views in the first 24 hours.

Its like the ice bucket challenge, but it doesnt have any charity associated with it at all, Griffin said of her daunting idea. Its completely gratuitous.

Anacondamay or may not be featuredon Minajs upcomingLPThe Pinkprint, which is still without a release date. Earlier this year at the BET Awards (while accepting her trophy for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist), shepromised that the album would be out in 2014.

The rapper has released two other singles so far this year. First cameLookin Ass,which took a more critical angle on booty flaunting, as she literally and figuratively shot butt-gawking males in thevideo. The second was the unexpected hate-the-haters balladPills N Potions, which was accompanied bya video that featured Minaj beheading fellow rapper the Game.
