Alec Baldwin to Return to SNL as Donald Trump

Alec Baldwin revealed that he will once again portray Donald Trump on the upcoming season of Saturday Night Live. However, the actor admitted he wont appear as regularly on Season 43 due to scheduling conflicts.

Yea, were going to fit that in. I think people have enjoyed it, said Baldwin told CNN, adding that his Trump appearances on SNL will now amount to a couple celery sticks of that now and then but not a whole meal.

Baldwin cited other obligations as the reason he would not return to SNL in a full-time featured capacity: The actor, currently promoting his new film Blind, has at least five more film projects lined up as well as his role as host on the Match Game revival.

In March, Baldwin who will likely receive an Emmy nomination for his SNL role when those awards are revealed July 13th suggested that there was a possibility he would hang up the orange wig rather than return to SNL.

The maliciousness of this White House has people very worried. Baldwin told Vanity Fair at the time. Which is why Im not going to do it much longer, by the way. The impersonation. I dont know how much more people can take it.

That same month, Baldwin announced he was co-writing a satirical book about Trumps first year in office. The book, You Cant Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year as President Donald J. Trump, is due out November 7th.
