SNL Veterans Seth Meyers, Michael OBrien Unite for New NBC Sitcom

Late Night host Seth Meyers, former Saturday Night Live writer Mike OBrien and SNL creatorLorne Michaels are teaming up to produce a half-hour pilot for NBC, Deadline reports.

The show, formerly dubbed AP Bio, will focus on a hilariously cynical Ivy League professor who loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school biology teacher where he imposes his unorthodox teaching style and uses the kids to plot out revenge on those who wronged him. Meyers, OBrien and Michaels will executive produce alongside Mike Shoemaker (Saturday Night Live) and Andrew Singer (30 Rock, Portlandia).

OBrien joined SNL in 2009, working as a staff writer and short filmmaker; he became a featured player for the 2013-2014 season but rejoined the writing staff the following year before his departure. Meyers worked with OBrien during the formers lengthy tenure on the sketch show, from 2001 to 2014.

Michaels Broadway Video production company also produces SNL, Late Night With Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
