Watch Conan, Van Damme Recreate Dorky Kickboxer Dance


Jean-Claude Van Damme is known for kicking serious ass on-screen, but one of his finest cinematic moments happened on the dance floor. At the prompting of Conan OBrien during Tuesday nights episode ofConan, the actor recreated his infamous, dorky moves from the 1989 martial arts classicKickboxer.

OBrien sets up the dance in the above clip, telling his guest that its one of his favorite movie scenes. He then rolls the footage, which features Van Damme decked out in a black tank-top and khakis, grooving toBeau Williams Feeling So Good Today in a bar and then beating up some menacing bad guys.Were going to do a Kickboxer 2, he says after, referencing the upcoming reboot. (There have already been four proper sequels, none of which featured Van Damme.) The host responds that hell be the first in line for the flick.

Van Damme, promising hes still got the moves, walks out to center stage and slips back into the role of Kurt Sloane. After being approached by two nefarious gentlemen, the actorbusts out some sweet martial arts moves then resumes his dancing, joined by the ever-lanky OBrien.

The nextKickboxer title is areboot of the original film, with Van Damme starring assensei Master Chow, who trained his original character, Sloane, the art of kickboxing in order to take down his brothers killer. The film also stars stuntman-occasional actorAlain Moussi,Guardians of the Galaxys Dave Bautista andUFC welterweight champion George St. Pierre.
