Angry Birds, the 3D animated film based off the popular app game, will finally hit theaters in May. In the final trailer, the feathery creatures are up against the mysterious and weird Green Pigs who show up to their home and steal the birds eggs.
Jason Sudeikis stars as Red, a bird constantly filled with anger who recognizes immediately how sketchy the pigs voiced by Bill Hader, Blake Shelton and Tony Hale seem to be. Red decides to lead his fellow birds into embracing their inner rage and fight back. Were birds! Were descended from dinosaurs. Were not supposed to be nice, he explains to the crew. From there, they prepare the slingshots they use to compete against the swine.
Danny McBride, Peter Dinklage, Kate McKinnon, Sean Penn, Maya Rudolph, Charli XCX and Demi Lovato also voice characters in the star-studded film. Jon Vitti, a writer for The Simpsons, penned the film, which is out on May 20th.
