Harrison Ford Shocked and Saddened After Carrie Fisher Heart Attack

Harrison Ford, Carrie Fishers co-star in the Star Wars series, issued a statement Saturday morning following news of the actress heart attack aboard a Los Angeles-bound flight Friday afternoon.

Im shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend, Ford told The Hollywood Reporter. Our thoughts are with Carrie, her family and friends.

In a tweet that has been shared over 65,000 times, Mark Hamill, who portrays Luke Skywalker in the films, wrote of his on-screen sister, As if 2016 couldnt get any worse sending all our love to @carrieffisher.

Fellow Star Wars co-stars like Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew also wished Fisher a speedy recovery.

Fisher remains in the intensive care unit at the UCLA Medical Center after suffering the cardiac episode just prior to the London-to-Los Angeles planes arrival at LAX.

A pilot reported to air-traffic control that passengers who are nurses were taking care of the passenger. Upon landing, emergency personnel performed CPR on Fisher.

In a series of interviews, Fishers brother Todd first told the Associated Press that the actress had been stabilized and out of the emergency room after she was unresponsive on the plane, although he wouldnt elaborate on Fishers condition. In a subsequent interview with Reuters, Todd Fisher said, We have to wait and be patient. We have so little information ourselves.

Todd Fisher later told Entertainment Tonight,We certainly do not know her condition, thats why she is in ICU. Im sure everyone wants to speculate, but now is not the time for that. If everyone could just pray for her that would be good.
