Carly Rae Jepsen Is All That in Captivating SNL Performance

Host Michael Keatonwasnt the only one celebrating a career resurgence on Saturday Night Live: Carly Rae Jepsen, who was seemingly banished to One-Hit Wonderdom following Call Me Maybe, took the SNL stage to deliverher latest smash I Really Like You as well as introduce the audience to a standout new song titled All That.

Studio 8H isnt always the kindest venue for pop singers as their big singles often fall flat on SNL.However, Jepsen managed to avoid the pitfalls by reinventing I Really Like Youwith a full band and backup singers behind her, transforming the track into a fist-pumping new wave raver that proved the singledoesnt requirethe assistance of Tom Hanks.

After her victorious I Really Like You, Jepsen returned later in the show with two surprise guests in tow Blood Oranges Dev Hynes and Grammy-winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid, who both collaborated on the new single to debut her new track All That, a Paisley Park-esque slow jam reminiscent of Princes Purple Rain classic The Beautiful Ones. Show me if you want me that Im all that, Jepsen sings on the rousing love song.

Immediately after the SNL performance, Jepsen took to Twitter to alert fans that her new single, which she called my heart song of the album, was available on iTunes. She also shared the studio version of All That on YouTube. Both I Really Like You and All That will likely appear on Jepsens next album, the follow-up to 2012s Kiss.
