Watch the 1975 Bring The Sound to SNL

The 1975 served as the musical act for the Larry David-hosted, Bernie Sanders-guestedepisode of Saturday Night Live, with both the Democratic candidate and the Curb Your Enthusiasm star appearing onscreen together to introduce the British pop-rockers.

For the performances, Matthew Healy and company shared a pair of singles off the bands upcoming second LP I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, The Sound, which was bolstered by a sextet of background singers, and the INXS-indebted Love Me.

Recently, the 1975 visited the Rolling Stone offices for a video interviewwhere they talked about the diverse sounds of I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, due out February 26th. We want to be really postmodern, Healy said of the upcoming LP. We want to create in the way that we consume. Theres not really room for bands that do one thing anymore because people dont consume just one type of music.

On SNL, Healy also got to hang out with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, who made a surprise appearance during the Weekend Updateto promote Zoolander 2.
