Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiigs Lifetime movie debut A Deadly Adoption has now been teased with an action-packed, 20-second trailer.

The film, about a couple (Ferrell and Wiig) housing a pregnant woman (Jessica Lowndes) in an effort to adopt her baby, is described as a high-stakes dramatic thriller by the soapy network. We couldve had everything, Lowndes character says in voiceover whileattempting to run over Ferrell with her car. Wiig is seen with a bloodied face and a gun in hand. At the end of the teaser, Ferrell and Lowndes are sitting on a bench as he says, You really are a strange girl, with a laugh.

In April, Ferrell told Entertainment Weekly that the team behind A Deadly Adoptionwould forego the project entirely following a leak that spoiled news of the film. Just last week, however, The Hollywood Reporterconfirmed the projects air date (Saturday June 20th) following the placement of a huge billboard on Hollywood Boulevard.

Ferrell is a huge fan of Lifetime movies and had been hoping to make on of his for a while. He co-produced A Deadly Adoption with his frequent collaborator Adam Mckay. Though very few details have been unveiled, the team behind the film including writer Adam Steele who co-created the TV mini-series spoof The Spoils of Babylon are known best for their comedic chops and abilities to parody more dramatic fare. The film will be part of the networks 25th anniversary celebration.
