Doctor Strange may be the Sorcerer Supreme in the Marvel universe, but his mystical skills cant keep a childrens birthday party entertained in this Jimmy Kimmel Live sketch.
Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the superhero in the upcoming big screen adaptation, is hired by Kimmel to pull some rabbits from a hat for the birthday party, with the host not realizing that Stranges strength is vanquishing villains, not entertaining children. However, for $150, Strange decides its worth it to make some balloon animals.
Cumberbatch also talked about Doctor Strange, due out November 4th, and how he shocked a few pedestrians in a cafe while walking around in his costume. These New Yorkers, bless them, they just did what New Yorkers do, Cumberbatch said of the stunt. Their caffeinated jaws went [awestruck] but only for about five minutes, and then they were back to their conversations I was news for a millisecond in this caf.
