Fuck! What you looking at? Dont you look at me, fuck!, John Malkovich threatens in a new clip for the weeklong vignette series Playing Lynch. In the latest installment, the actor takes on the role of the antagonist Frank Booth from David Lynchs psychosexual thriller, Blue Velvet.
The clip is the latest of Malkovichs starring roles for Playing Lynch, which is a project where people can donate to see the various scenes Malkovich has filmed from Lynchs repertoire. The proceeds benefit David Lynch Foundation, which seeks to help sufferers of traumatic stress through the teaching of transcendental meditation.
There will be a new clip available every day this week. The actor has already taken on the Log Lady as well as detective Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks. He is also portraying Eraserheads Henry Spencer and the Lady in the Radiator, The Elephant Mans John Merrick, Lost Highways Mystery Man and Lynch himself.
Just like Booth, Malkovich constantly huffs on ether throughout the vignette. At one point, he dons lipstick while creepily repeating Pretty. He also reprises the famous, chilling lines, Do you know what a love letter is? Its a bullet from a fucking gun, fucker, he says. You receive a love letter from me, you are fucked forever. Ill send you straight to hell, fucker.
The one-shot focus on the actor intensifies the characters disturbing world outlook. Sky Ferreiras haunting rendition of the classic Blue Velvet song also features in the clip.
