Marilyn Manson to Portray Hitman in Indie Crime Film


Marilyn Mansons acting career have so far seen the shock rocker appear as a roller rink attendee (Eastbound & Down), a porn star (Lost Highway) and a white supremacist(Sons of Anarchy). Next up for The Pale Emperorsinger: A hitman. Manson has been cast as a calculating contract killer named Pope in Let Me Make You a Martyr, an indie crime drama currently filming in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

According to Tulsa World, Let Me Make You a Martyr is about a pair of adopted siblings who fall in love and devise a plan to kill their abusive father figure, played by Sons of Anarchy actor Mark Boone Jr. This story is dark. Really dark, actress Sam Quartin, who plays the female lead in the film, told Tulsa World. Manson has reportedly only been on set for a few daysand has beensharing ultra-bloody production photos from the set:

Let Me Make You a Martyr reunites Manson with Boone, as both the singer and the actor appeared on Sons of Anarchy; Martyrs lead actor Niko Nicotera also portrayed Ratboy on Sons of Anarchy. The film was written by Oklahoma nativeJohn Swab, who will co-direct the film withCorey Asraf.

Following the two-week shoot, Marilyn Manson will join his former nemesisBilly Corgan on the road for a joint tourwith the Smashing Pumpkins that kicks off July 7th in Concord, California.
