ComediansBilly Eichnerand Seth Rogen teamed up for a dark (but hilarious) segment called Death Rogen on Eichners Tru TV series Billy on the Street. The duo walked around New York City, with Eichner breaking the news of Rogens death to passersby and asking for reactions. Meanwhile, the very-much-alive Rogen pretended to be a cameraman beside him.
Weve lost so many great artists this year who dont live long enough to see all the many profound ways that people pay tribute to them after theyre gone, Eichner said in his signature deadpan style. Seth can experience what their reaction is while he is still around.
The results ranged from horrified disbelief (Oh, my gosh my chest is hurting) to ambivalence (I havent the slightest idea who that guy is). One woman admitted she finds Eichners zany antics a million times funner than Rogens stoner humor.
Eichner also asked one man what he suspected was Rogens cause of death. I hope its not drugs And then they always drop the AIDS card, the man said, getting a hilarious reaction from Rogen, incognito. In another unexpected vignette, the host proposed three-way sex between Rogen and two Australian men. If I was gay, I would totally join you guys, the actor cracked.
