Watch Penn and Teller Reveal Trade Secrets to James Corden

Penn and Teller pulled back the curtain on their classic trick Lift Off of Love during a performance on The Late Late ShowWednesday.

The magicians first performed a straightforward version of the body separation illusion. Teller squeezed inside a set of small boxes covered with the illustration of an astronaut. His limbs and face continue to pop out of various openings as Penn Jillette separates the parts and moves them around the stage.

The pair then gleefully deconstructed the illusion by bringing out a replica set of translucent boxes, opening up their platform to reveal a crawl space and reworking the acts Stevie Wonder-esque theme song into the jokey Rip Off of Love. Despite revealing its secret, the act was as engaging and impressive as the original, from Penns dry jokes See, its my hand! to Tellers ability to flit about the tiny space beneath the platform.
