Ghostface Brings Riveting Love Dont Live Here No More to Fallon


Its hard to top Lena Dunham and J.K. Simmons playing Pictionarybut Ghostface Killahmanaged to become the must-see moment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon thanks to ariveting performance of his 36 Seasons single, Love Dont Live Here No More. Joined by singer Kandace Springs and Brooklyn band-production team the Revelations, Ghostface breathes new life into the track about a man who returns to Staten Island after a nine-year prison stint to find his girl shacking up with a new man.

Last month, Ghostface unveiled his Love Dont Live Here No More music video, with The Wire actor Michael K. Williams portraying the rappers legendary alter-ego Tony Starks. The concept album 36 Seasons, one of Rolling Stones 40 Best Hip-Hop LPs of 2014, tells the story of a hip-hop superhero for the 21st century who returns to Staten Island in search of personal retribution and on a mission to save his community from corrupt authorities and urban decay.

To accompany the albums concept, Ghostface hired comic book artists to provide illustrations fora 20-page 36 Seasonsbooklet. Matthew Rosenberg, who helped put together visuals for the rappers 2013 LP, Twelve Reasons to Die, spearheaded the project.

After working exclusively with producer Adrian Younge on Twelve Reasons to Die and the Revelations for 36 Seasons, Ghostface will next collaborate with Toronto jazz-trio BadBadNotGood on an album dubbed Sour Soulthats due out in February. The rapper also found time to perform at a grilled cheese restaurantin Perth, Australia called Toastface Grillah.
