TBS Celebrating Seinfeld 25th Anniversary with Most Famous Episodes

To celebrate Seinfelds 25th anniversary, TBS will add an extra hour of nothing to their programming block as they air the 25 most famous episodes from the sitcoms nine-season run between June 30th and July 5th, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The 50 Funniest People Now: Jerry Seinfeld

Episodes will air in two-hour blocks each night, starting at 6 p.m. (as opposed to Seinfelds typical 7 p.m. rerun slot on the network) and will include such classics as The Serenity Now, The Chinese Restaurant and The Shower Head.

As Varietynotes,on July 5th, starting at 5 p.m., TBS will commemorate the exact day the show debuted in 1989 with a marathon featuring the five most seminal Seinfeld episodes: The Contest, The Outing, The Junior Mint, The Puffy Shirt and The Yada Yada. The network is also urging fans to chime in on Twitter with the hashtag #seinfeld25.

Despite ending production in 1998, Seinfeld remains one of the most popular sitcoms on TV. Earlier this year, rumors ran rampant when Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander and Larry David were spotted filming at New York Citys Toms Restaurant more famously known as the casts old haunt, Monks Caf. The mini-reunion turned out to be a Super Bowl spot for Seinfelds web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, in which Jerry in vintage form chastises George (Alexander) for ruining their chances of getting invited to a Super Bowl party because he cheered too loudly last time.
