Gilmore Girls: A Day in the Life, a four-part Netflix revival of the beloved TV dramedy, premieres November 25th. A teaser for the heavily anticipated project features some trademark mile-per-minute dialogue between Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) with updated pop-culture references.
Do you think Amy Schumer would like me? Lorelai asks her daughter, who shoots down the idea. Why? Lorelai fires back. Its not like Im perpetually armed or at sundown I turn into one of those vampires with no sense of humor or I have that plant strapped to me that only blooms once every 50 years and smells disgusting.
After some banter about corpse flowers and Schumer enjoying water sports, Lorelai tosses out another celebrity daydream: Do you think John Oliver would find me hot? The nostalgic clip, anchored by the tagline Seasons change, but some things never will, also includes brief glimpses of Lukes Diner and the Dragonfly Inn two key destinations from the fictional Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
A Day in the Life will pick up nine years after the original Gilmore Girls series, which was canceled in 2007 after seven seasons. Original cast members Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson and Melissa McCarthy will reprise their roles. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and husband/fellow executive producer Daniel Palladino co-wrote and directed all four 90-minute telefilms, each of which cover one season of a calendar year.
