According to the Hollywood Reporter, Harmon is in the process of formalizing his deal with the shows producer, Sony Pictures Television, to come back to Community as showrunner for the fifth season. Rumors began building last weekend, when Harmon told the audience gathered for his Harmontown podcast that he was asked to return to the show. Harmon was axed from Community last May after a public feud with cast member Chevy Chase.
Responding to the news of Harmons return, Community star Gillian Jacobs offered some words of appreciation to the shows creator. Welcome back, @danharmon! she tweeted. E Pluribus Anus!
