Watch Brett Favre Bust Plates With Jimmy Fallon

Now that hes no longer the NFLs all-time passing leader, Brett Favre feels like he has to once again prove his pigskin credentials. Thatssure what it looks like, anyway.

Despite not having thrown a football in five years (so he says), Favre put his quarterbacking skills to the test on Wednesday by taking part in the Tonight Show Throwdown with Jimmy Fallon. The rules of the game were simple: Fallon stood at one end of the stage and flung plates in the air, while Favre attempted to destroy them one by one with pinpoint passes.

In other words: It was basically skeet shooting for football, which, of course, is a safety hazard for everyone involved.

Can we get an intern to throw the plates? a terrified Fallon asked after being reminded that Favre has a powerful arm. Are the kid inventors still here?

Favre missed three targets in total, though you could blame most of that on the fact that Fallon apparently doesnt know how to throw a plate from one sideof the stage to the other. But the Packers legend proved that he still has some magic in that arm of his by connecting on a pair of targets, which put him one shy of tying Drew Brees record from his 2012 shootout with Taylor Lautner.

If its any consolation, Brett, were not sure Peyton Manning could do much better in his current state, which has to count for something. And, man, do those jeans look comfortable or what?
