Samantha Bee bid farewell to outgoing White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer and introduced the administrations newest cast member, Communications Director Anthony The Mooch Scaramucci, on Full Frontal Wednesday.
Bee let Scaramucci speak for himself, showing clips from his first press conference where he threw out motivational platitudes and expressed his adoration for the other members of President Trumps administration. But as Bee noted, Scaramucci has already sewn discord in the White House, threatening a big staff purge and promising to fire any leakers (Bees segment was taped before Scaramucci seemingly accused Chief of Staff Reince Priebus of leaking his financial disclosure documents however, the reporter who broke the story, Lorraine Wollert, said she obtained them through a public records request).
As for his primary job of handling the President, Scaramucci said he plans to let Trump be himself and express himself fully. Though as Bee pointed out, The Mooch Doctrine got off to a rocky start with Trumps sudden Twitter decision to ban transgender people from serving in the military.
Firing thousands of active duty service members in the middle of the big push against ISIS was Trumps version of Dont Ask, Dont Tell, Bee said. He didnt ask anyone if it was a good idea and he didnt tell anyone he was going to do it. But that is how we roll now.
Bee noted that during the Moochs already short tenure at the White House, the President has not only abruptly banned trans people from serving, but also delivered a highly politicized and borderline creepy speech to the Boy Scouts.
