Watch First Clip From Woody Allens Crisis in Six Scenes TV Show

Amazon has unveiled the details of their upcoming Woody Allen series, the directors first small-screen project.

Titled Crisis in Six Scenes, the series is a comedy that takes place in the 1960s during turbulent times in the United States and a middle class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household completely upside down, the streaming service revealed. Crisis in Six Scenes arrives on Amazon Video September 30th.

Amazon also offered up a 90-second scene from their upcoming series, with Allen back in front of the camera on his own project for the first time since 2012s To Rome With Love. In the scene, Allens character asks his barber (played by Max Casella) to make his hair look like James Dean. I could work on your hair for 10 years and youre never gonna look like James Dean, the barber fires back.

In the sneak peak, its also revealed that Allens character is a novelist whose last novella was a bit of a bore, since it took his barber months to read it. I kept dozing off, he tells Allen. In the background, another barbershop patron reads a newspaper with the headline Viet Crisis Worse to help set the time frame.

In addition to Allen, Crisis in Six Scenes also stars Miley Cyrus, Elaine May, Michael Rapaport, Stranger Things breakout star David Harbour and Lewis Black.
