Inspired by the multicultural dialogue between Brad Paisley and LL Cool J on the hilariously cringe-worthy Accidental Racist, Stephen Colbert last night invited Alan Cumming to start a conversation on The Colbert Report about gay marriage with his own song,Oopsie-Daisy Homophobe. After lauding the unifying suckage ofAccidental Racist, Colbert donned a cowboy hat, took hold of an acoustic guitar (which he immediately handed off) and cribbed the melody from Accidental Racist to croon lines like,When I told you God hates fags / The only thing I meant to say / Is Im a Skynyrd fan. Duet partner Cumming, meanwhile, landed the brilliant line, If you dont judge my parades / Ill forget what you said about monkeys and AIDS. You could feel the countrys wounds healing with every note.
