The long Columbus Day weekend deprived The Late Showthe opportunity to joke about Donald Trumps lewd comments about women from the leaked 2005 videoon air, so Stephen Colbert instead posted a video of his reaction to Trumps vulgar remarks as the host heard them for the first time.
We actually recorded [Fridays] show last night [Thursday] because its Columbus Day weekend, and we got tonight and Monday off, Colbert says before watching the leaked video. So we did not know today, this afternoon, there would be an audio release of the mother lode, the El Dorado, of Donald Trump misogyny gold.
Like many who watched the video after the Washington Post first revealed it Friday, Colbert wondered Whos Nancy? later confirmed to be former Access Hollywood host Nancy ODell and was perplexed by what Trump meant when he said he moved on her like a bitch. What does moved me? You moved on her? Colbert asked.
All the Tic Tacs in the world will not freshen his breath after this, Colbert quipped.
After several more face palms and moments of Oh my god, Colbert summarized his thoughts on the leaked video, which forced Trump to issue a rare apology.
Heres what I really found disgusting: Trump says in the video, quote, When youre a star, they let you get away with anything,' Colbert said. And unfortunately thats true. Because Donald Trump is the Republican nominee. And hopefully someday hell be telling the story about how he tried to fuck America, and failed.
