Game of ThronesstarEmilia Clarke has been cast as Sarah Connor in the upcoming reboot of Terminator. The Los Angeles Times reportsthat Paramount has confirmed Clarke is in place for the role originally brought to life by Linda Hamilton.

The casting reunites Clarke, best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, with director Alan Taylor, who helmed six episodes of the HBO series. According to Variety, Zero Dark Thirtys Jason Clarke is in talks to play Sarah Connors son, John Connor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger will be returning to the role he originated in James Camerons 1984 film.
The new installment of the Terminatorfranchise is planned as the first in a stand-alone trilogy. The film is set for release on June 26th, 2015.
