FIFAs Jack Warner Rips American Foreigner John Oliver

John Oliver isnt the most popular man in Trinidad and Tobago right now. At least according to former FIFA exec Jack Warner.

On Tuesday, the Last Week Tonight host shelled out hard-earned money to purchase four minutes of airtime on Trinidadian TV. In it, he begged Warner, indicted last month on corruption charges, to make good on his promise (threat?) to release some of the scandalous details of FIFAs inner workings. And he did it in the only way he knows how with a whole lot of snark.

Right now, Jack, everybody hates you, Oliver said.I mean, literally everybody. I think its something to do with you seeming like an absolutely terrible human being.

Not surprisingly, Olivers passionate plea didnt sit well with Warner, who has hit back with a three-minute response video one set to overly dramatic music that made most of his message incomprehensible. After earlier defending himself with an article from The Onion, we suppose nothing Warner does should come as a surprise anymore.

I dont need any advice from any comedian fool who does not enter this country to tell me what facts to release or not to release, Warner saidin the video. That is not his business. I take no instructions from him.

Turner also took Oliver to task for mocking Trinidadian culture, and condemned TV6 the station that gave the comedian the green light to run The Mittens of Disapproval for accepting advertising money from an American foreigner, which is hilarious because, you know, Oliver couldnt be more British.

By the way, Jack: Great shirt. Anyway, after having tochug a Bud Light Lime on his show, a back-and-forth with a wanted man is probably the least of John Olivers concernsright now. The countless jokes created bythisunexpected exchange might have something to do with that.
