Pee-wee Herman embarks on his next great adventure in the funny and fetching first trailer for the new Netflix film, Pee-wees Big Holiday.
The clip finds Paul Reubens beloved character living the life and working as a cook at a diner in a tiny, idyllic town, when a burly biker (Joe Manganiello) arrives and convinces him to take a vacation.From there, things get very silly, very quickly.
Pee-wee finds himself stranded after giving up his car to a trio of bank robbers, and the trailer offers a series of snippets teasing all the odd places he ends up, from the woods to New York City to an Amish village to a snake farm. On the way, Pee-wee escapes a candle-lit date by jumping off a roof, flies through the sky (temporarily) via umbrella and, for good measure, makes squeaky fart noises with a balloon in front of the Amish.
Pee-wees Big Holiday will premiere at SXSWbefore arriving on Netflix March 18th. The film was produced by Judd Apatow, directed by Wonder Showzen vet John Lee and written by Reubens and Paul Rust.
